Error 167 | [PSS®E] | Could not find matching dynamic model
Relevant software:
PSS®E
Emitted message:
Could not find a matching dynamic model in PSSE model
Description:
This error occurs when a command references a dynamic model that cannot be found in the loaded PSS®E dynamic model data (.dyr
file).
This could be due to a typo in the model name specified in the command, or the model may not be present in the .dyr
file being used for the simulation.
danger
The simulation will fail as the specified dynamic model cannot be applied or controlled.
Possible impact:
- The simulation will terminate.
Potential fixes:
- Check Model Name: Verify that the model name specified in your command (e.g. in a
DYRMODEL=
argument) is spelled correctly and matches the name in your PSS®E model after the.dyr
file is added. Note the field is case sensitive. - Verify
.dyr
File: Ensure that the correct.dyr
file is being used for the simulation and that it contains the definition for the required dynamic model. - Check Model Association: Make sure the dynamic model is correctly associated with the right generator or asset in the PSS®E case.
