Error 140 | [Various software] | Stopping stalled process

Emitted message:

Have not recieved message from worker for extended period - assuming worker process has stalled - stopping process and retrying

Description:

This indicates that the gridmo Engine has been processing this task, but has not received any messages from the task for an extended period of time. The gridmo Engine has assumed:

  • The process working on the task has failed without raising an error; or
  • The software being automated (PSS®E, PowerFactory or PSCAD™) has become unresponsive or crashed; or
  • The machine running the gridmo Engine is under extremely heavy CPU load and an intermediate process has become unresponsive; or
  • A combination of the above.

The gridmo Engine has detected this task has potentially failed and will attempt to stop the process and schedule the task to be completed again.

If this error occurs frequently, or occurs with a specific software package - please contact gridmo support as this may indicate your Engine has a target CPU load beyond the capability of your hardware.

Possible impact:

  • The current task will be terminated and retried. If the underlying issue is not resolved, the task may repeatedly fail.

This error is not typically caused by your action. If you encounter it repeatedly, please contact gridmo support.
