System requirements

Web App​

Supported browsers:

  • Chrome
  • Firefox

To use Copy and Paste in Firefox, you'll need to allow navigator.clipboard.readText() by completing the following:

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Enter about:config in the navigation bar.
  3. Click "Accept the Risk and Continue".
  4. Search dom.events.testing.asyncClipboard and set to true.
  5. Search dom.events.asyncClipboard.readText and set to true.

Engine​

Supported operating systems:

  • Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Windows 11 (64-bit)

Minimum hardware to install the Engine:

  • 100MB of hard drive space for the Engine executable
  • Modern CPU

The Engine requires an internet connection and the application must remain open to receive simulation instructions.

A Windows OS machine is required to run typical power systems software such as PSS®E and PSCAD™.

Engine performance is dictated by the number and performance of logical processors. To increase performance, it is recommended to install the Engine on a dedicated, high performance machine. For a positive user experience, we recommend the machine has the following hardware as a minimum:

  • 8GB+ RAM
  • 5GB+ of hard drive space for input/working/output files
  • 4+ modern CPU cores

PSS®E​

The following PSS®E versions are currently supported:

  • PSS®E v34.4+
  • PSS®E v35

PSCAD™​

The following PSCAD™ versions are currently supported:

  • PSCAD™ v5.0.1+

The Licence mode must be Certificate License.
